Aimee and Nick’s Tivoli Italian Villa wedding was a true full-circle moment. After first meeting in college in San Diego, they spent years traveling together, but ultimately chose to get married in the city where their story began. Their day was filled with color, joy, and the people who mean the most to them. Continue reading to learn about their story and what made their celebration so special.

More Than Just a Wedding

For Aimee and Nick, their Tivoli Italian Villa wedding celebrated so much more than their marriage. Aimee was also finishing her medical degree and preparing to become a lieutenant in the Navy which was a huge accomplishment all on its own. After years of moving for her work, the couple was finally ready to settle into life in San Diego. Their wedding was a culmination of milestones, both personal and professional, and a chance to gather everyone who had been part of their journey so far.

Highlights from Aimee and Nick’s Tivoli Italian Villa Wedding Day

All the Colors

Aimee and Nick embraced a summery palette for their Tivoli Italian Villa wedding. From buttery yellow bridesmaids’ dresses to vibrant fruit adorning the tables, every detail radiated warmth and personality. I loved how they leaned into bold, playful hues, creating an atmosphere that felt both celebratory and deeply them.

Beautiful Florals

In harmony with the color story, the couple brought in beautiful, textured florals designed by The Flower Boy, who was not only an incredible floral designer, but also a good friend they went to college with. His arrangements filled the villa with vibrant blooms that complemented the European charm of the venue and added another layer of artistry to the space.

Energy and Excitement

One of the most memorable parts of Aimee and Nick’s day was the energy they carried from start to finish. They were fully present, enjoying each moment with each other and with their guests. That spirit especially came alive on the dance floor, complete with fun, temporary tattoos that everyone wore well into the night.

A Word of Advice

As a SoCal wedding photographer, I’ve seen how guests naturally reflect the couple’s energy. When you’re smiling, relaxed, and truly enjoying yourself, it sets the tone for the entire celebration and your guests will follow suit.
